I have the old school settlers, along with seafarers, cities and knights, and the 5-6 player expansion for settlers and cities and knights. I do wonder if it would be better with the cities and knights added to give it longevity. But I doubt it. I think the added complexity would just make it drag.

Settlers is a tough one to let go, if only because I appreciate the game design so much.
